On Friday, March 4, 2011, IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law and the Chicago Park District will co-host the Great Lakes Environmental Law Symposium focusing on the issues and challenges facing the Chicago Area Waterway System. Ohio Supreme Court hears oral arguments in Great Lakes shoreline ownership case - guest post by Prof. Ken Kilbert

The Ohio Supreme Court earlier this month heard oral arguments in State ex rel. Merrill v. Ohio Department of Natural Resources, in which two lower courts have ruled that the public has no right to use the shore of Lake Erie above the water’s edge.
