On Friday, March 4, 2011, IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law and the Chicago Park District will co-host the Great Lakes Environmental Law Symposium focusing on the issues and challenges facing the Chicago Area Waterway System. This timely event will address the ongoing Asian carp litigation (the panel I’m moderating), potential changes to disinfection requirements for the Chicago River, and whether officials should pursue hydrologic separation of the Great Lakes and Mississippi River watersheds. Susan Hedman, EPA Region 5 Administrator, will give the keynote address.
