Turning bottled water into cell phones

One of the environmental concerns with bottled water is all of the wasted plastic from the bottles that are often landfilled.  Well, someone finally found a good use for those plastic water bottles.  The smart folks at Motorola have just released a new mobile phone – the MOTO W233 Renew – with a plastic housing made entirely from recycled water bottles.  This is great, but don’t feel like you need to rush out and buy bottled water to keep Motorola supplied with recycled plastic.  With over 8 billion gallons of bottled water sold in the U.S. annually, we should have enough recycled plastic from water bottles to give us a lifetime of cell phones.
